The 9th Annual South Asia Conference, hosted by the Ireland India Institute at Dublin City University (DCU), will take place in-person at DCU from Monday, April 13, to Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
The title of the 2026 conference is:
Turbulence, Transformation, and Resilience: South Asia in a Changing Global Order
The current global landscape is defined by profound instability—from intensified geopolitical rivalry and economic volatility to deep political polarisation and environmental crises. South Asia is at the core of this turbulence. This conference aims to critically engage with how global and domestic disruptions are reshaping the region, the nature of the profound transformations underway, and the forms of resilience being demonstrated by communities, institutions, and individuals.
The conference invites proposals for papers and full panels across a wide range of subjects.
