The BASAS Council is responsible for the management, governance, and administration of the Association. It is formally known as the Council of Management and all of its members are Trustees registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
The BASAS Council will typically meet three to four times per year, with the majority of these meetings held via zoom. At least once a year, and usually during the Annual Conference, the Council will hold a meeting at which all Council members are expected to attend in person. As well as attending Council meetings, Council members may also be invited to sit on working groups to investigate specific topics on behalf of Council.
In the current round of elections, we are seeking nominations for up to two Ordinary Members of Council, and one Graduate & Early Career (GEC) Representative, for which the role specifications can be found here. Application forms can be found here.
The deadline for applications is 30th September 2024.
