Circle of Tibetan and Himalayan Studies

The aim of the Circle is to promote and foster scholarly research into the various aspects of Tibetan culture, including art, architecture, history, literature, philosophy and religion. It constitutes an intellectual forum serving to inspire, coordinate and disseminate advanced studies in the civilizations of Tibet and the Himalayas. The Circle organizes lectures and seminars conducted by Tibetologists drawn from leading universities in the field. It also hosts an annual international symposium (early November) dedicated to the exploration of selected themes in Tibetan art.
