BASAS Prize 2005
Each year, the British Association of South Asian Studies (BASAS) awards a prize for the most outstanding paper given by a student at its annual conference. The paper may be on any subject relevant to the conference.
- See full details the award, eligibility and judging criteria, as well as the current holder and previous winners.
- The person nominated must be a member of BASAS.
- While self-nomination is allowed, all nominations should be seconded by a BASAS member.
- Nominations are for general membership of the Executive Committee only.
- However, if an individual standing for election is interested in holding one of the Executive Committee offices — currently Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Editor and Webmaster — he/she is encouraged to indicate which one.
- After the election, the new Executive Committee will determine the allocation of offices.
- Completed Nomination forms can be handed in to the BASAS Secretary at any time up to the start of the AGM.
- Members who will not be present at the AGM must post or fax a completed Nomination form to the BASAS Secretary to arrive by 24 March.
