- Clickable map of the University of Oxford showing colleges
- Balliol College website
- Oxford City Tourist Information Centre website
ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION
- You can collect your conference packs and check into your room (in the JOWETT WALK COMPLEX) from 11am on Monday 7 April. See this map of Oxford city centre with the college and the conference venue clearly marked.
- The Jowett Walk complex is a 15 minute walk from the train station (on the left of your map) but there are taxi ranks at the station. It is a 10 minute walk from the bus station. However, if you are coming on a bus from London or from the airports then you are advised to leave the bus at the HIGH STREET stop and walk up to the conference venue via Longwal Street. This is in the bottom right hand of map of Oxford city centre with the college and the conference venue clearly marked.
- Please note: Registration and the conference will be held in the Jowett Walk complex, while lunches, reception, and the conference dinner on Tuesday, 8 April, will be held in Balliol College itself. (Lunch on Monday, 7 April, is NOT provided in the cost of registration. This is because many participants would not arrive in time to eat it, and/or would have had lunch on the train. It also enabled us to keep the registration costs as low as possible. There is a sandwich shop in the immediate vicinity, and 5 minutes walk away Oxford city centre boasts the usual treats - McDonalds, Sainsbury's, Pret A Manger.)
POSTGRADUATE BURSARIES and ACCOMMODATION
There are a limited number of bursaries of for postgraduate students who present a paper at the conference.
